COFFEE DATE

Sharing a not-so-secret trivia but my relationship with Arnie really started when I asked her out on a coffee date. We’ve been doing it ever since. Coffee dates are fun and intimate― the mindshare of two individuals exchanging thoughts and sipping caffeine is always wonderful.

I always make it a point to arrive thirty minutes earlier at our dating place. I love being extra early at meetings and other events (except maybe on barkada nights, sorry guys!) because I have the advantage to prep up and I’d have the time to enjoy the scenery.

When you’re inviting someone for a date, nothing beats laid back class. Try layering up your look with a bomber jacket or a cardigan. Dress shoes are also a good addition if you’re wearing jeans; it also pairs well with a sharp looking polo shirt.

I decided to mix brown tones with my usual black and white combination. It somehow complements the interior of the place. A tad bit rustic for my taste but it still looks good nonetheless.

Jacket: Zara | Polo shirt: Nike | Bottom: Forever 21 | Shoes: Hush Puppies | Eyewear: Ray-Ban

When it comes to athleisure, you can never go wrong with Nike. I personally love the style on this polo shirt!

Style and comfort always with Hush Puppies, I can't get enough of their shoes!

Patience is always key when you’re waiting for someone. They could be fifteen minutes late or even one hour late on worst cases. That’s why you have to compensate by bringing essentials like music, mobile games, or pocket books.

Okay, asking someone out on a date can be downright scary. I was actually nervous when I asked Arnie out. I had to go through a lot of contemplating nights: was I ready? is this what I really want? what if it doesn’t work out? sometimes, it’s the negative thoughts that really break one’s courage.

But you know what, there’s nothing wrong in trying. Who knows, something amazing might happen. Take it from me.
