Chinatown

Riddled with businesses that run on cheap transactions, the oriental streets have definitely changed since I visited 7 years ago. In honor (sacred or not) of this refreshing meeting, I decided to walk the streets of Chinatown with a bucket hat; Far from looking like your typical China boy-- but what the hell, right?

When my endeavors at Chinatown were set, I thought to myself, “why not sport an ensemble for it?” true enough, I decided to style up. It’s very far from an oriental homecoming that I imagined but it does blend well with the visceral rawness of the streets.

A lot has changed since I last visited Chinatown. Some of the streets there have turned dim over the ravages of time. Memories rush in as I see familiar corners now fading to a subtle slumber. But it’s good to see familiar stores that pose as age-old monuments, sentient and ever ready to pump leisure and curiosity to local tourists. I slightly smile as I’m reminded that some things still stay the same.

I decided to veer away from layers and go for something extremely comfortable. No fuss. No extras.  Basically, what you see is what you get. I did have the enthusiasm to use a bucket hat since I love its style.

It's been years since I strolled the jungle of Chinatown. Nevertheless, it's good to be back.
